Our Funeral Home has played a founding role in the cremation of the deceased in Greece, when we originally cooperated with crematoriums in Germany, 35 years ago. Having vast experience in that area, we can undertake the cremation of your dear one with consistency and professionalism.
Based on the law of the Greek President of Democracy, which was voted on the 15th of March 2006, our country has abided by the laws and legislations of the European zone in relative matters, so to allow the cremation to people whose religious’ customs do not forbid it.
Civil Funeral
The necessary term for cremation of human remains is a written statement made by the person itself who wishes to be cremated, or the relatives until 2th grade.
From September 2019, the cremation of the dead is now also carried out in Greece, at the Cremation Center (KAN) in Ritsona, Evia, which provides cremation services for bodies and bones from exhumations.
The Center operates in accordance with current European and national environmental legislation and international standards and has state-of-the-art electronic equipment.
Furthermore, the Cremation Center offers the possibility of organizing farewell ceremonies, offering coffee or a meal, or additionally the scattering and preservation of the ashes. The cremation process takes about 2-3 hours and the family and relatives of the deceased can attend if they wish.
